Collaborating Physician (MD/DO) (Remote)

The Role You’ll Play:

As a Collaborating Physician / Psychiatrist (MD/DO), you will work remotely and improve clinical outcomes through providing collaborative supervision to mid level practitioners in different states remotely, supporting our mid-level practitioners (who are duly licensed and acting within their scope of practice to offer telepsychiatry). Our mid-level providers include Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners and Physician’s Assistants who have received CME training in Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy.

Nue Life is growing, and we’re looking to grow our team with passionate and enthusiastic professionals in the space of mental wellness. We are searching for highly skilled Phsycians / Psychiatrists (MD/DO ) to supervise and collaborate with our Nurse Practitioners and Physician’s Assistants as they deliver telemedicine care as part of a multidisciplinary at-home oral ketamine program for mood disorders. You need to be a licensed Psychiatrist, with preference given to those certified by the American Board of Medical Specialists (ABMS).

In this position, you will be responsible for conducting quality checks of new clients in tandem with the medical director, managing remote virtual healthcare prescriptions. The ability to provide compassionate communication is essential for our patient population. We are devoted to empowering our clients and providing them the space to feel whole again.

What you will need: 

• Active medical license, ABMS preferred
• Active Federal DEA certificate/number
• Available a minimum of 2 hours per month for chart review / appointments 
  • (~ 50 charts per month and 30 minutes of 1:1 supervisory meetings with our mid-level providers)
• No open licensing board complaints and no probated or restricted licensure
• Experience with telemedicine
• Must be available for both phone and video appointments

Your Main Tasks:

• Collaborative supervision and patient chart review 
• Support our mid-level providers
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

What You Bring To The Table:

• Experience with Psychiatry with a focus on optimal mental health and wellness
• State license in one or more of the following states: CA, FL, TX, IL (and more to come!)
• Experience with Athena a plus
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, tech-savvy
• Mission-aligned attitude!
