Addiction Medicine Psychiatrist - Adult (Remote)

Join an exciting team of experienced physicians providing virtual psychiatric care to our growing and innovative practice.  Onduo Professionals, P.C. treats its clinicians as the valuable experts they are and has developed a collaborative and flexible clinical model that allows its physicians to deliver whole person healthcare with the support of coaches, therapists, and digital health interventions. Stepping away from the traditional fee for service model, you will be enabled to work with those most suited to your skills. You will contribute to the growth of this clinical service line, bring high value telepsychiatry services to adult patients (+18y/o), and provide critical feedback to help shape this new practice model as part of our attempt to help patients with depression and anxiety live full, healthy lives by developing comprehensive solutions that combine devices, software, medicine, and professional care to enable simple and intelligent disease management.  Plus, work with and provide feedback to a world-class team at Verily, an Alphabet company, to make digital tools used in care delivery.

Responsibilities: 

  • Provide excellent, evidence-based care to adults for the treatment of substance use disorders (SUD) and co-occurring mental health conditions
  • Conduct asynchronous case review and real-time video consultations with patients, including assessing, screening, diagnosing and prescribing medication for patients
  • Safely and effectively start treatment with FDA-approved medications for the treatment of substance use disorders, including buprenorphine for treatment of opioid use disorder,  and manage the early induction and stabilization phase of care with close follow-up.

  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and peer reviews 

Skills/Abilities: 

  • Highly competent in the management of substance use disorders, particularly opioid use disorder.
  • Commitment to providing truly high quality care.
  • Collaborative approach to working with colleagues
  • “Webside Manner” suitable for telemedicine encounters
  • Technology adept, including documentation and e-prescribing in EHR

Education and Experience:

  • MD, DO, or MBBS, ABPM Board Certified in Addiction Medicine or ABPN Board Certified in Psychiatry
  • Preferred 2 years of Buprenorphine prescribing experience.
  • Preferred 5 years post-residency clinical experience in primary specialty.
  • Unrestricted license to practice in at least one state (Note: Onduo will support obtaining additional licenses)
  • Active DEA license and X waiver
  • Previous telemedicine experience preferred
  • Medicare and Medicaid enrollment preferred
