About The Role 

The Psychiatrist assures the highest quality of patient care at the lowest cost, including comprehensive evaluations and patient consultations to a diverse patient population. As a Psychiatrist with Virgil, you will work directly with the Clinical Director to support a true multidisciplinary team approach to patient care.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct telemedicine consultations to assess the patient’s medical and psychosocial needs, while at all times maintaining a professional and appropriate setting in preparation for video consults
• Assess patients by conducting psychiatric evaluations, including intake forms, interviews, medical histories, and observations to diagnose patients
• Prescribe and administer medications according to diagnosis.
• Complete all necessary clinical documentation in an accurate and timely manner
• May collaborate with a broader team of physicians, associate providers, psychologists, therapists and nurses to assess and adjust treatment plans

What You’ll Need

• Board Certification in Psychiatry (ABMS or AOA)
• Active medical license 
• Active Federal DEA certificate/number
• Available a minimum of 10 hours per week for appointments
• No more than one open malpractice claim
• No open licensing board complaints and no probated or restricted licensure
• Comfortable with technology 
• Enjoy working independently
• Must be available for both phone and video appointments

• Demand - Deliver top notch products and services to our growing number of patients. You’ll work with patients to understand pain points and optimize the patient journey from first contact to start of care to offboarding.
• Supply - Own and manage the relationship with our clinical practitioners. You are responsible for the growth of our clinician ecosystem by attracting, recruiting, and retaining high quality behavioral care providers. 
• Platform - Build tools and provide services to optimize and improve the delivery of clinical care. You’ll help match the right provider with the right family, coordinate clinical care, and develop digital therapeutics products.
• Quality - Improve the quality of care delivered to our patients. You’ll ensure that we provide strong clinical outcomes, develop training platforms to level up our providers, and maintain compliance with a variety of payor and regulatory requirements.

At Virgil, we are a globally distributed team with many of our team members located in the following cities: San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, Toronto, Montreal, and Kyiv.
