About The Role 

Virgil is hiring for a part time remote therapist who is licensed in Texas to contribute to our teen IOP program. You will use evidence-based practices when conducting all therapeutic interventions, including crisis intervention, assessing high risk behaviors, and supporting our adolescent clients and their families through their treatment. All therapeutic services and clinical meetings will be held virtually with the team. Hours required will be Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 4PM-7PM in the time zone of the state where the candidate is licensed.

What You’ll Do

  • Facilitate family sessions via Zoom to a caseload of assigned adolescent patients and their caregivers.
  • Provide guidance and support to patients and family members to help promote goals and encourage patients progress through the program.
  • Provide direction to families about effective ways of supporting adolescents. 
  • Initiate family therapy goals, incorporating skill implementation at home, offering psychoeducation, improving communication, creating home contracts.
  • Provide individual therapy to the adolescent client
  • Develop the master treatment plan and all subsequent treatment plan updates
  • Work with the multidisciplinary treatment team in developing individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with the treatment team in assessing the patient's progress and need for higher level of care, stepdown, or discharge.
  • Work closely with the client and their family  to engage them in the decision-making process and help them understand the benefits of assessment and accessing the appropriate level of care as indicated
  • Complete paperwork requirements and maintain quality, up-to-date clinical records; enter necessary information into Virgil’ Counseling’s electronic medical records (EMR) system

What You’ll Need

  • Minimum State licensure as follows: LCSW, LMFT, LCADC or LPC
  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field with an emphasis on adolescents 
  • At least 2x years of experience treating higher acuity adolescents
  • Strong computer skills required; experience with EMR system a plus

  • Quality - Improve the quality of care delivered to our patients. You’ll ensure that we provide strong clinical outcomes, develop training platforms to level up our providers, and maintain compliance with a variety of payor and regulatory requirements.
