Position Overview
This remote role is an integral part of delivering on our mission’s promise. Your role will be to provide oversight and guidance to our provider and R.N. team which provides clinical support to our in-office and telemedicine providers as well as on-call coverage via telemedicine. This role will also provide clinical support to our patient care coordinators and laboratory technicians. 
 
Your medical knowledge, clinical judgment, and leadership skills will be of the utmost importance in ensuring excellent patient care and developing a high-performing team. This is a salaried, not hourly, position, despite having specific scheduling needs. It is not uncommon to have project-based work that may extend beyond a 40-hr workweek from time to time.

Duties & Responsibilities

      • PST Manager Duties:
      • Report team concerns to CMO.
      • Evaluate for opportunities for growth of the team. 
      • Provide timely feedback to team members and collaborating members. 
      • Manage PST shift calendar including core team members, covering float pool, and supervising MD/DOs.
      • Be eligible to be licensed in all 50-states.
      • Monitor and respond to relevant group communication channels. 
      • Serve as a clinical resource and professional role model for other telemedicine staff and assist with the coaching of newly hired telemedicine providers.
      • Reduce conflict and increase patient satisfaction whenever possible through timely response to patient phone calls, chats, and tasks. 
      • Communicate appropriately and tactfully with staff, consultants, patients, significant others, and the community. 
      • Participate in staff, planning, in-service, and other meetings as needed. 
      • Perform other duties as assigned.
      • PST team duties:
      • Address patients’ clinical concerns via chat, or if indicated via video visit or phone call (symptom reporting, medication refills, lab clarification).
      • Address critical lab/imaging results with patients via chat or video visits. Re-route medications to pharmacies (including controlled substances) as needed.
      • Assist with clinical operational tasks such as referrals, lab/imaging orders, provider letters, and medical forms.
      • Serve as a clinical resource and professional role model for other telemedicine staff and assist with the coaching of newly hired telemedicine providers. 
      • Provide direct patient care 3-hrs per week via video.
      • Reduce conflict and increase patient satisfaction whenever possible through timely response to patient phone calls, chats and tasks. Conduct medical chart reviews.
      • Maintain accurate, clear and concise progress notes, problem lists, and medication lists. 
      • Provide patient education regarding disease management, therapies and healthful behaviors via chat and/or over video. 
      • Communicate appropriately and tactfully with staff, consultants, patients, significant others, and the community. 
      • Participate in staff, planning, in-service, and other meetings as needed. 
      • Perform other duties as assigned.
      • Requirements
      • Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner
      • Minimum of 3 years of primary care experience
      • At least 1 year of management/supervisory or coaching experience
      • Active license in California, Florida, and New York; willingness to be licensed in other states as we grow
      • Active DEA with all schedules and in good standing
      • Willingness to learn how to diagnose and treat adult ADHD
      • Telemedicine/remote clinical experience preferred
    • Coverage Requirements
    • Must be able to work one weekend day per week (on-call or shift length varies) 
    • Must have availability M-F to cover shifts between 6AM PST - 9PM PST
