WithHealth's Tribal Care Program partners with Tribal Health Departments across the country to create and deliver needs-based telehealth programs that enhance and expand existing services, providing accessible, affordable, and immediate care. Our program provides primary care, behavioral health, and specialty telemedicine as needed. Our Tribal Health Programs reduce barriers and increase access to quality healthcare through low-cost, HIPAA compliant virtual visits and improve overall health for Tribal Citizens.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Behavioral Health Provider is under the direct supervision of the Director of Tribal Health Services with additional oversight provided by the Clinic Director of Tribal Health Center they are supporting. The Behavior Health Provider is responsible for the development, coordination, evaluation and supervision of all services that fall under the mental health programs for youth and adults.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

(May include but are not limited to)

  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with staff, departments, community and representatives of federal, state, local, and other agencies to address issues relevant to behavioral health care service delivery
  • Works closely with the medical providers at clinic they are supporting
  • Develops operational work flows, information, and educational offerings for clients, staff, and community
  • Carries a caseload of clients
  • Follows the code of ethics associated with respective certifications and licenses
  • Serves as an information conduit between Health Center Administration and program staff to assure compliance with applicable policies and procedures
  • Works with an interdisciplinary team using effective communication skills to help clients
  • Prepares and presents effective verbal and written material including technical writing and presentations to diverse audiences
  • Develops and implements policies and procedures within assigned areas
  • Contributes to the drafting/implementation of grants and contracts
  • Coordinates with Clinic Director in monitoring work functions to assure operations remain within established guidelines
  • Facilitates coordination of services with Tribal, State, and County justice system agencies and other facilities
  • Supports coordination of services and/or client advocacy with other local community service programs
  • Participates on a multi-disciplinary team that plans for continuous improvement and coordination of client services
  • Organizes information (including, files, notes, and records) and completes all applicable paper and electronic records within time period set forth by Clinic Director
  • Performs other duties as required by the supervisor and program demands
Requirements

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  • Exhibits effective use of the HER and note sharing platform
  • Full licensure required
  • Experience in working with the tribal community
  • Must be sensitive to the needs of Native Americans
  • High degree of integrity, highly motivated, self-confident, skilled communicator and a strong team player
  • Strong problem solving, organizational and leadership skills with follow-through abilities
  • Able to execute from concept to successful conclusion
  • Able to work independently with little or no supervision

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree Psychology, Child Development, Social Work, Sociology, or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience
