Job Description:The Virtual Clinic Nurse willplay a strategic role within the Clinical Operations and Product Development teams at First Stop Health. The primary focus of this role will be to help FSH bring Virtual Primary Care to the market. In addition to providing direct care to patients and liaising with FSH doctors and outside specialists, this person will work closely with the Product Development teams to ensure that our clinical workflows are optimized for accessible care. During pilots, this person will provide meaningful feedback to inform the future features of this service. Reporting to theDirector of Clinical Operations, thisrole requires a deeply caring attitude, strategic thinking, and a strong desire to redesign and implement easy-to-use healthcare services.  


  • Be a lead clinician in developing the clinical + patient experience for Virtual Primary Care 

  • Protect, promote, and restore health to Virtual Primary Care members, virtually “holding patients’ hands” throughout their primary care journey 

  • Employ evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and innovation to lead FSH’s efforts to optimize patient outcomes and experience  

  • Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up 

  • Initiate interdisciplinary and cross-functional process improvement to enhance the patient experience, increase utilization, and/or lower costs 

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including Clinical Operations, Patient Experience Agents, and Product, to further develop FSH’s Virtual Primary Care offering for the market 

  • Note and carry out physician orders; implement and monitor patient care plans 

  • Manage the clinical work to make sure that staff are working at the top of their license to improve patient care 

  • Rapidly summarize and escalate issues in real time during Virtual Primary Care pilots and after the service hits the market 

  • Perform Quality Assurance assessments for episodic, chronic, and preventive care visits 


  • BSN required 

  • 5+ years working as a Registered Nurse, with at least 2 years in a primary care setting 

  • Licensed to practice in one of the 38 Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) Jurisdictions 

  • Passion for using technology to increase access and affordability of care 

  • Demonstrated change management experience 

  • Excellent telephone/video skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other providers 

  • Schedule: Generally business hours to begin, moving to some evenings/weekends, but ultimately this person will help determine the right schedule to support patient care.
