Fella is the telehealth clinic for men with obesity. Obesity is the largest chronic disease dramatically affecting people's lives and causing billions of dollars of healthcare spending. But the standard treatment of diet and exercise doesn't work for most with chronic obesity. With Fella, patients meet a board-certified obesity doctor to prescribe FDA-approved medications and join a lifestyle intervention program through our app. We are now live in Texas, our first group of patients are having life-changing results, and we are soon to expand nationwide.

The opportunity

We are hiring an incredible medical lead/director to join Fella's world-class team. Each day you'll be leading our clinicians to deliver high quality obesity care. You'll shape the clinical pathways and help us build the foundations to scale to thousands of patients. You'll work closely with our doctors, coaches, engineers and designers to bring a clinical focus throughout Fella.

This role is can be part-time or FTE and you can work remotely from anywhere in the US.

You'll report directly to Fella's CEO Luke Harries.

Example responsibilities

  • Develop and iterate the clinical protocols for obesity treatment
  • Run the recruitment process for high-quality physicians
  • Design physician onboarding and training processes
  • Work with the product and coaching teams to design a robust lifestyle change program to complement the clinical support
  • Evaluate external vendors for EHRs, medication fulfillment, and bloodwork

 About you

  • MD or DO and board certification relevant to obesity medicine (endocrinology, obesity medicine, internal medicine, family medicine)
  • Experience with GLP-1 RA medications
  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills
  • Based in the US with an active unrestricted medical license


  • Have held clinical lead or medical director positions
  • Experience with health startups
  • Board-certified in endocrinology or obesity medicine
