As Olive continues to blaze a trail in AI and automation programs and solutions in the healthcare space, we are growing our team of Clinical Consultants to drive clinical opportunity identification, design, and implementation. Known internally as a Clinical Solution Architect, our Clinical Consultants play a key role in our customer partnerships to advise our customer surgeons and clinical leadership on reducing clinical variation. Our Clinical Solution Architects typically have subject matter expertise in one or more key clinical areas in the Operating Room such as general surgery, orthopedics, spine/neuro, CV, and others. This role will be part of the Change Management Team under our Customer Experience Division working with all of our customer implementations.

Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of opportunity identification for customer delivery. Responsible for identifying, reviewing, and summarizing clinical evidence supporting clinical opportunities to drive reductions in unwarranted clinical variation.
  • Communicate with internal and customer project team members to positively influence clinical solution design, process and/or approach
  • Provide insights on single use and reusable products, surgical techniques, operational efficiencies related to nursing workflow, and understanding of physician expectations
  • Build strategic working relationships with customer surgeon and nursing leaders in order to facilitate clinician-oriented opportunity discussions to influence physician decision to change
  • Apply critical thinking to prepare high quality presentation material for physicians and senior leadership
  • Prepare for and facilitate physician service line meetings with the purpose of driving conversations leading to physician consensus and commitments to change (in certain customer scenarios, partner with surgeon leads to drive Clinical Program Meetings)
  • Collaborate with the Olive Solution Design and Solution Engineering teams to understand the Olive standard solutions and incorporate current best practices in our clinical solution
  • Collaborate with Solution Architects and Customer Program Executives to prioritize program initiatives, align resources, and manage customer expectations
  • Contribute to ongoing methodology development around clinical delivery model
  • Assist in on-boarding, coaching and mentoring new clinical team members to customer program team

Requirements

  • BSN required, Masters degree in nursing, informatics, or healthcare administration preferred
  • CNOR preferred
  • 5+ years of nursing experience in the OR, with experience in General Surgery required. Service Line Leader experience in General Surgery preferred.
  • 2+ years perioperative management experience or experience in operations improvement consulting projects in a hospital
  • Experience working with EHRs, databases and/or analytic tools in a perioperative or consulting environment
  • Strong cross-team communicator willing to accept and provide honest feedback with team members
  • Comfortable having conversations with surgeons suggesting areas for change
  • Experience leading improvement initiatives requiring alignment with the supply chain, perioperative services, and other ancillary resources.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong critical thinking and facilitation skills with the ability to interpret and anticipate customer needs in order to develop clear and attainable goals, objectives and execution of clinical project plans
  • Strong self-starter with demonstrated ability to work independently with moderate supervision in a fast paced, high-growth organization
  • Ability to travel up to 25-30% of the time (travel requirements will vary based on account assignments and focus of role)
