Job Description

EVERSANA INTOUCH™ is a leading full-service, global healthcare agency serving the life sciences and pharmaceutical industries. We provide next-generation creative and media services, enterprise solutions and data analytics services for clients.

We combine the power of world-class creative and digital teams with deep market access, payer, and healthcare communications expertise to provide innovative solutions to life science companies that want to connect with consumers, healthcare professionals, and payers.

We get fired up when people talk about getting—and staying—healthy. That’s where we find our inspiration: in the very human experiences of patients, doctors, and even each other. Then, we collaborate on ways to make caring for one’s health more achievable, connecting patients and physicians with the information and tools they need.

And as a part of EVERSANA, a pioneer in next-generation commercial services, we connect dots that other agencies can’t, helping drive commercialization success.

Our eight affiliates within the EVERSANA INTOUCH Network include EVERSANA INTOUCH Solutions, EVERSANA INTOUCH Proto, EVERSANA INTOUCH Seven, EVERSANA INTOUCH Oxygen, EVERSANA INTOUCH Engage, EVERSANA INTOUCH B2B, EVERSANA INTOUCH Media, and EVERSANA INTOUCH International.

What does the Associate Director, Medical do?

The Associate Director, Medical has a deep understanding of the client’s business and demonstrates critical thinking and confidence while distilling the scientific and clinical data of the client’s brand(s), their competitors and clinical landscape into meaningful insights and strategic recommendations. This individual has the courage to take ownership and produces quality deliverables over multiple assignments, often concurrently. Your grasp of the scientific literature and ability to assimilate and transpose data beyond the context of the brand label are the keys to making recommendations to help solve complex business challenges.

We are looking for someone who is:

    • Curious. You must have an unquenchable thirst for knowledge — of the problem, the solutions and our target audiences — in order to create education that drives action.
    • Empathetic. Compassion leads to passion and, ultimately, work that makes a difference for our clients and their target audiences (many of whom suffer). You’ll feel good about what you do here.
    • A team player! You embrace collaboration without hesitation and know your team will always have your back when you work here at Intouch.

Responsibilities:

    • Provide strategic input to guide creation of clinically relevant educational content and ensure effective use of clinical data to reach strategic brand objectives
    • Independent scientific content development including analysis and interpretation of clinical data across a wide range of project types
    • Conduct literature searches, proactively monitor competitive landscape and perform competitive analyses
    • Establish strong relationships with clients and proactively seek to contribute and collaborate in client meetings
    • Partner with internal teams to create compelling peer-to-peer educational content and engagement projects for healthcare professionals, including slide decks, KOL video, digital and print media
    • Establish close partnership with copy, art and digital teams to create interactive, engaging programs utilizing scientific storytelling techniques and unique data visualization
    • Collaborate to create and communicate Intouch’s POV and recommendations with clients
    • Play key role on team to educate team members on disease state, clinical trials, treatments and competition
    • Support submissions for client medical/regulatory approval processes and partners with all teams to incorporate client and regulatory feedback

Requirements

    • Advanced degree (PhD, MD or PharmD) in medical sciences related field required
    • Preferably two or more years of agency experience in medical education, medical communications and/or HCP marketing
    • Strategic thinker that understands how to effectively tell a scientific story in a compelling way to differentiate client products
    • Two years minimum medical writing experience required
    • Experience creating branded or unbranded peer-to-peer educational content
    • Expertise in extracting relevant information from clinical sources and writing medically accurate copy
    • Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills
    • Client-facing confidence that advances dialogue and creates strong agency-client relationships
    • Experience with complex projects that require collaboration between internal and external teams including key opinion leaders
    • Familiarity with FDA marketing regulations, AMA editorial style and digital
    • Positive, problem-solving attitude
    • Someone who likes to have fun!
